Clarissa M. Broderick
Clarissa M. Young was born in New York State, June 29, 1822, and died at her home near New Brunswick, May 5, 1907, aged 84 years, 10 months and 6 days. She came to Indiana when a child of five years of age. At the age of 22 she was married to Aaron Miller Broderick, who died June 19, 1879. To this union three children were born all of whom survive, namely Alvan who resided with his mother, Elvira Leach of Boulder Colorado, and Herman J. of Tipton, Ind. The deceased is also survived by four grand children besides a host pf other relatives and friends. Fifty-four years ago she united with the Church of Christ at Milford, Ind., and for more than half a century she was a follower of the Master. At the time of her death she was a member of the Church of Christ at New Brunswick. She had been a resident of the community in which she died for 45 years.
Funeral services were held at 10 o’clock Tuesday conducted by Rev. Homer Dale. Burial at Old Union cemetery.
