Polly A. Clark
Polly A. Clark, aged 81, died at the home of her son-in law, Sam Davidson, southwest of Jamestown, at about 2:30 Tuesday morning, of pneumonia with which she had been sick two weeks. Polly A. Starks, was born in Kentucky April 18, 1826. She was married to James M. Clark, Nov 5, 1840. To this union were born eight children, Willis, William and Sarah E. having gone before; those who survive are Ione Hovermale, Susan Davidson, Mollie Hardesty, Arthur and Benjamin Clark. She became a member of the Christian church in 1846 and lived a faithful member since.
The funeral services were held at the Wesley chapel Wednesday. Afternoon, Rev. Samuel Smith officiating, Burial in Wesley Chapel cemetery.
