John Edlin, who had the little finger of the left hand badly smashed while setting machinery at the pumping station the 7th of last December, had to have the member amputated Tuesday at the second joint. The bone of the finger was badly mashed but it was thought the member could be saved but it did not heal up healthy and an amputation was necessary. Dr. Bounell performed the operation.
