OBITUARY Inez Ilda Hedge
Inez Ilda Hedge, the little daughter of Otis and Alice Hedge, died March 12, 1907, after an illness of three weeks. She was born Sept 1, 1904 and consequently had reached the age of but two years, six months and twelve days. Though so young in years she had reached a degree of maturity scarcely attained by one of her age, thus giving promise of exceptional intelligence. A marked characteristic of her unfolding life was a rare spirit of appreciation of any kindness shown her. But the flower that was unfolding with such promise with such promise had been transplanted to “fairer fields on high” where it will be immune from all influences that blight and from all foes that imperil. The mourning parents have left for their comfort and guardian care two sons and one daughter, but they are painfully conscious that a joy and sunbeam has been taken from their home. Through the long years of life’s struggles may they ever feel that heaven has one more attachment for them in the person of Inez who has gone before. Funeral services were conducted at the residence five miles west of Jamestown on Thursday of last week at 11 a.m., Rev. Newlin officiating. Burila at the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Jamestown.
Note from Janet Price; I am posting this obituary for others. I am not related to the subject.
