The following Biographical sketch was copied from the book "HISTORY AND BIOGRAPHY COUNTIES OF WHITE AND PULASKI, INDIANA. Historical and Biographical. Illustrated. Chicago; F.A. Battey & Co., Publishers. 1883. page 738, Van Buren Township, Pulaski County, Indiana.
"ISAAC HOLLENBACK was born in Virginia February 21, 1818, and is the son of JOHN and MARY HOLLENBACK, who were also natives of Virginia. The parents came to Cass County, this State, at an early day, ISAAC accompanying them, but in a short time the latter went to Fairfield County, Ohio, where he was married to ELIZABETH WOLTZ, widow of JESSE WOLTZ. He then came to this township and setteled on the forty acres of land on which he still resides and which he had previously purchased. Here he had the misfortune to lose his wife in April, 1880."
