born about 1800 in Pennsylvannia, I do not yet know what county or town
Married unknown Hardesty in either PA or IN
As Elizabeth Hardesty, married Enoch Jackson in Dearborn County, IN on March 8, 1827
Had atleast 2 sons:
Andrew Jackson, born 1828 James Jackson, born Dec 28, 1831
As Elizabeth Jackson, married Oren Judd, May 21, 1844 in Dearborn County, IN
Elizabeth lived in Dearborn County, IN, Miller township in 1850, as wife to Orrin Judd, with stepchildren and son James Jackson.
Elizabeth lived with son Andrew Jackson and wife Catherine Bewley in Owen County, IN, Perry Township, in 1860, next door to James Jackson and wife Adaline Bewley. Adaline and Catherine were sisters, daughters of Silas and Susanna Bewley of Pennsylvannia. She died sometime after 1860.
I welcome any further information on Elizabeth. Her maiden name comes from son James' marriage application to his 2nd wife Cynthia Phipps Fry in 1884. Elizabeth is also listed in a biography of her granddaughter Lydia Jane Jackson's husband Levi Holston, and although she is listed as Elizabeth Hardesty and not Whitsell, in error, she is listed as being from Pennsylvannia of German descent. All of the census records agree with this stating she is born in PA and her children's as well.
