Ron:
As far as I know I am not related to Stephen and Purnell Fisher of early Gibson county. I know by the census records that they were born in Delaware, Stephen aged 50 yrs in 1850, and living alone. Stephen died in 1865, and left a will, Bk G. P 84, he is buried in McCurdy Cemetery , Patoka Twp. Indiana Land Entries for Vincennes Dist. 1807-1877 shows Stephen Fisher : relinquishments E-SW-S10 Aug 19 1817 ; Aug 31 1821 & W-SW-S10 Aug 19 1817 ; Jul 4 1829.
The 1830 census shows a male 5-10 and a f 10-15 in his household. I do not know the names of the children.Stephen remarried Sep 26 1850 to Sarah Pearson, unless this is the young male of 1830.
Tis is about all I have on Stephen Fisher, he could be related to my John, as I do not know where John was born.
