Eden R. Martin, Esq. member of the American Antiquarian Society and in 1999, Chariman of the Board of the Chicago Historical Society whose home town happens to be Sullivan, Moultrie Co., IL published his Martin Family genealogy which is on line.
I am a descendant of William Reed and Sarah Ann, my g2 grandparents.Family tradition notes Sarah Ann who d. in childbirth 28Sep1879 in Chautauqua Co., KS claimed relationship with the Pickney Family of SC.
Whether William Martin of Gibson Co. is related to the large Martin family of Moultrie Co., IL seems possible. If interested in further information please contact me.Joe
