"Nathan Rogers was born on Sept. 15. In 1817 he owned a plantation in Anson County, NC adjoining the property of Jesse Rogers. In 1820 he bought 200 acres on Lick Creek, in Davidson County, NC. In June 1836, he bought 80 acres in Hancock County, IN."Try the Madison County Historical Society for information. Glen C. Walker, grandson of Seth Walker did a lot of history of the county on many families. While they don't have all of his material, Linda Shelton does have access to part of it. The info listed above on the Rogers family is part of it. Our Walker's have been isolated in every town they've lived in, to be a self-contained unit. It's hard to hard them. Burk County, PA is a Quaker town. Many Walker's seem to come from Chester, PA. The William/Syvanus/Tandy line is another one that seems to be near our Walker's in the west, yest we're not related as proven by the DNA. They are from NC, to Lunenburg County, VA to many different places. Hope this gives you some new leads. Neva
