MRS. DRUZILLA MCCONNELL was born in Jackson County, Indiana, August l8, l858, and departed this life April 23, l923, being at the time of her death, 67 years, 8 months and 3 days old. She came to Iowa with her parents when a small child, locating in Decatur County, where she lived the remainder of her life with the exception of a few years she lived in Nebraska.
She was united in marriage to WILLIAM HARVEY BRAMMER in the year, l875. To this union were born nine children, all living except MRS. NELLIE CREES, who preceded her in death in June, l9l9. Her eight living children were permitted to be with her during her affliction and death, except HARMON, of South Dakota, and MRS. BERTHA WEST, of Nebraska, who were with her until four weeks ago, when they returned to their homes. Besides the above mentioned, she leaves to mourn her death, two sisters three brothers, 36 grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior thirty-one years ago under the Ministry of Rev. Joseph Edwards, and was baptized into the fellowship of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where she lived faithful to the end. Sister BRAMMER was a loving companion and a faithful mother, always ready to help those in need.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Grand River on Wednesday, April 25th, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E.C. Vanderpool of Lockridge, Iowa. Interment was in the Young Cemetery.
