I am researching my family in Jefferson County, Indiana. The family's names are Consley, Galbreath, Parker, and Smith.
On Smith's I have William M. Smith married Mathilda Jane Blackford. They had 10 children: Elizabeth J. (1840), Malissa Ann (Sept. 15, 1842), Mariah Ellen (1844), Eliza Ann (Oct. 19, 1845), William Anderson (May 1848), Margaret S. (abt. 1851), Samuel E. (abt. 1854), Matilda A. (Dec. 26, 1855), Virginia (abt. 1858), and Luella (aft. 1860). They seem to have lived in the Saluda area of Jefferson County. I know that William M. and Mathilda were married in Jefferson County, IN on Jan. 3, 1839 and that all children were born in IN. William, however, was born in KY.
On the Parker's I have John Jackson Parker married Sarah J. Turner. They had 5 children: Annie, Christopher C. (1868 in LA), Mary Ann "Molly" (abt. 1870), Martha E. "Mattie" (Dec. 14, 1872), and Nancy Jane (abt. 1874 in Trimble County, KY).They moved to Saluda Township in 1884 and lived in Jefferson county until their deaths.
On the Galbreath's I have William Galbreath married Juliet "Julia" Reed. They had 5 children: Mahilda, William Perry (bet. 1852-1854 in IN), John (1857 ?IN), Indiana (1862), Ella (abt. 1872). William and Julia were in the 1850 census in Saluda Township. They are both buried at Marble Hill Cemetery.
On the Consley's I have Samuel Consley married Mary Bowman. They had 12 children: Harmon (1831 in Clark Co. IN), Elizabeth (1832 IN), Margaret (1835 IN), Rebecca (1837 IN), Mary Frances (1839 IN), Ellen (May 20, 1840 Washington Co. IN), Samuel A. (1842 IN), Andrew Jackson (Dec. 8, 1843 IN), Benjamin F. (1846 IN), Louesa (Nov. 14, 1848 IN), Sarah Jane (Feb. 12, 1851 IN), and Charlie (1859 ?IN). I know that Samuel was listed in the 1850 and 1860 census in Saluda Township. They are both buried at Marble Hill Cemetery.
Any help on these four family's would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to share any information I have if anyone needs it. THANKS!
