This was a third marriage for Lavinia, I forget the order. She had six, most of them in Switzerland County. She was born Lavinia Richards, married 2nd James Bell, m. 3rd, my ancestor James Graham, who moved to Boone County, Ind., where he died; then Daniel, then Alexander Graham (no relation to James), then a Danner, I have the name and dates somewhere. (But think it was Isaac Danner)
The inscrption below looks like Daniel's first wife, a transcription at the Olive Branch Cemetery, Madison Twp. I had a copy of the DAR transcription and resurveyed the cemetery two years ago so the Ed. Note is mine. There is no stone for Daniel. Olive Branch was a Methodist Church that closed in the 20th century.
Short, Nancy, wife of Daniel [Ed. Note. DAR has this as David] Short, d. Sept. 2, 1845, age 74 yrs 4 mos. ? das
Lewis Graham was James' youngest son and was named in James' will in Boone County.
The Grahams lived on the west Fork of the Indian-Kentuck just downstream from where my Mom still lives. In fact, I just learned from here, that the hill across the creek from us is called Shorts hill.
