John S. Sanders m Elizabeth Obershain (Obersham)I have ne information on him other than he is listed in the 1830 Census. I have Elizabeth in some Census, and I know she is buried in Brockman's Cemetery.
I know John and Elizabeth had William, and George, and James as well as a daughter.Any help on those siblings would be helpful.
Son, James Sanders.Born 7-27-1828 in Indiana.He married (1) Matilda Shipp 11-5-1850 in Johnson County.She died in 1875.(2) Mary C. Smith (widow of James M. Smith) in Shelby Co.She died in 1909.James died 4-1-1919 in Johnson County and he and Matilda are buried on the Sanders Farm.
James and Matilda had 10 children, two of which died in infancy.
Son, Samuel Joesph born 1860 and married (1)Ida Frances Adams and (2) Ionia Keller.Ida died in 1913 and had 4 children by Samuel.Ionia married Samuel in 1914 and died several years before Samuel.He died in May 1940.All three are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
Son, Lloyd Sanders 12-13-1889.Married Lillie Rinehart of Shelby County.Together they had four children, three girls and a son who died young.Both are buried in Greenlawn as well.
This family helped to find and supported Jollity Methodist Church.Lloyd sold the family farm and started an insurance buisness and help support the Methodist Home in Franklin Co.
While I have a lot of information on the later members of this family, I have little information onJohn S. and his wife.I am willing to share any information I have.
