Hi Vicki, I have not researched his death directly, but he is listed in the 1870 census in the home of his son Solomon, but I don't know when he died.Freelove was alive at the time of the 1860 census, but not the 1870 census. They are listed in the 1840 census in Lawrence Co, and 1850,1860 and 1870in Perry Twp, Lawrence Co, IN.According to 'Beyers Brothers. A History of the Descendants of Jacob Beyers (1747-1877) and Frederick Beyers (1801-1890) of Lawrence County, Indiana' by Clinton Chester Beyers and Joan (Davalle) Beyers (2000),pg 157, John and Freelove are buried at Storm Cemetery, Center Twp, Greene Co, IN.Their daughter, Elizabeth, married Joel Beyers Jan 31, 1850, in Lawrence Co, IN.Joel and Elizabeth (Rainbolt) Beyers are buried in Greene Co, also, but at Dishman Cemetery.Joel Beyers was a brother to my gg-grandfather, Jonas Beyers.
I would be interested in any info on the ancestors of John Rainbolt or Freelove Boone.I am happy to share the little I have on the Rainbolt family; several Rainbolts have married into the Beyers and related families, but I have not had a chance to look into them in any detail nor learn if/how the Rainbolts are related.
