William M. Laws and family are listed in the 1840 census as follows;

By 1846, William Laws is living in Bond Co., Illinois.He is a widower with one surviving son (George Milton Laws, b. IN 1837) and one surviving daughter (Charlotte Laws, b c. 1825 in NC).I'm trying to find out what happened to the other members of the family?Was there an epidemic that caused so many to die?Where might they have been buried?
Also, are there any Indiana state census records during the period 1835 through 1845 where they may be additional information available?
