Hi, Marge...this was a long time ago and you probably have already found this info but I recently was given some photocopies of Garrison interest and yes, Edmund died in 1829.Do you know who your Edmund's parents were?
There was an Edmund Garrison listed on the Rowan Co, NC census in 1810. I have an Edmund Garrison born in 1785-90 who was in Barren Co., KY., in 1810. I thought maybe he had gone home to Rowan Co on family business beccause my family was from Rowan Co.But now I am wondering if this one in Rowan Co. in 1810 might have been the one who died in Lawrence Co., INd. in 1829.This one is a bit younger than mine. He was near a James Garrison in the 1810 Rowan Co., census and there were Bodenhamers near also. Bodenhamers are married into the family of a man whose DNA places him in my family line somewhere. And there were Bodenhamers involved in the estate information on the Edmund you were looking for.Perhaps the James Garrison near this Edmund in Rowan Co is the one who moved to WAshington Co in 1827/28 and I am wondering if the Edmund you are looking for is related to that James Garrison? If you are from the family or know anything about them, I sure would like to hear from you! I have a copy of the estate sale with names of people who purchased items.
