I have checked the death records in Newton County Health Dept For the date below 1898, the other one is far too early to be listed there.I have checked the Newton County Enterprise. I know the old burial records for Roselawn Cemetery were burned in a fire in a former Trustee's home. So where else can a person find the death info for a person named Amanda Cox, who died between October 1874 and June 1875. Or in another case, her father in law, named Walter B Cox, August 1898?It is strange that Walter's wife died in 1893 and her death notice was put in the Newton County Enterprise but her husband who died 5 years later was not. Amanda's husband is also named Walter B Cox. He did not die until 1931 and his death info was on the front page of the Lowell Tribune in Lake County Indiana. It is possible that she was mentioned in Lowell newspaper too.As ther was Beaver Lake covering the area between Kentland and Roselawn making travel there to report news difficult in 1874-1979. I am pretty sure both are buried in Roselawn Cemetery, But I would like to verify it. Cindy I have even checked the Iroquois County Genealogical Society for the 1898 date.
