I am not descended from the Kittle line, but may be a "step-cousin" through Albert Corson who married your Elizabeth "Betsey" Kittle.
You have the same date (18 December 1855) for both marriage and death on Elizabeth Kittle.I believe this is the death date, and marriage to Albert Corson was 22 December 1836.This will fit better with the birth dates of children 1)James through 6)John.
The son, Albert Corson Jr. was born 04 February 1858, and could not have been Betsey's son, as she died in 1855.
Albert Corson married his second wife, Susan Winkley, in either 1856 or 1857.Children of Albert Corson and Susan Winkley are: 1)Albert Corson Jr.: b. 04 Feb 1858, Rising Sun, Ohio Co., IN; m. Mary Ann Barricklow, 31 Jan 1883; d. 31 Dec 1943, East Enterprise, Switzerland Co., IN. 2)Susan Corson: b. 18 Jan 1860, IN; m. Charles William "Will" Higbee, 02 Sep 1879; d. 07 Nov 1900. 3)Aquilla Corson: b. 20 Sep 1863; m. Emma Higbee (cousin of Will), Sep 1890; d. 21 Mar 1964, Rising Sun, Ohio Co., IN. 4)Rufus Corson: b. ??; m. Allie (or Ollie) Hunter; d. ?? 5)Laura or Ann Corson: b. 04 Mar 1867; m. John J Lotton, 15 Mar 1887; d. 11 Aug 1932.
Albert Corson and Susan Winkley are my GGGgrandparents. I am descended through Susan Corson and Will Higbee.I have a tintype photograph of Albert and Susan, probably taken about the time of their marriage.I would be happy to e-mail a JPEG scan of this photograph to any "cousins" who would like a copy.
Albert Corson (1818-1897) was the son of Aquilla Corson (~1783-1850) and Catherine Totten (1786-??)
I have a line of CORSONs, primarily located in Cape May Co., New Jersey, going back to a Jansen CARSTEN who was born abt 1612 in Holland.Other surnames in this line include TOTTEN, THOMPSON, ALLEN, and STILWELL.It looks like the Corsons and Tottens were among the early families in Hamilton Co., Ohio.
I am interested in additional information anyone has on these lines, or would gladly share what I have with others who are interested.
