I corrected this on my database after the mistake was pointed out to me by another gentleman.I had her marriage date as ca. 1835-37.I appreciate having the exact date.I have the marriage to Susan Anderson as ca. 1855/8.She was previously married to a Winkley.Susan Anderson was born 21 March 1824 to Ezekiel Anderson and Clarissa Sisson in New York.Ezekiel was born on 20 June 1799 in Greene County, NY to Elijah Anderson and Charity Van Zeilen. I do not have a birth date for Clarissa Sisson, but she was married to Ezekiel Anderson ca. 1824 in New York. She died in Kahoka, Clark County, Missouri.
The farmhouse where I lived as a child was built by an Anderson. By 1882 it was occupied by Barricklows. The property was in my Grandfather's hands by the 1940's and was occupied by his son Malvin Potter for a time, then my family, then my grandparents moved into it around 1950.We moved there when we traded houses with my grandmother after my grandfather's death in 1953.
I remember two Anderson women coming to visit in the 50's.They were from Kentucky and they said that had been their family home.It was down the side road by Dunaways Sawmill that is now called Ditmar Road for the Ditmars who bought it from my father around 1960.It had been a very pretty farmhouse, which sort of got ruined when my grandfather tore the front porch (which looked sort of Chippendale) off and replaced it with poured concrete and turned posts. My father further spoiled it by covering it with hideous asphalt siding which it still wears to this day.
I believe this is the death date, and marriage to

I have 18 Dec, 1855, Ohio County, for her death.

> 1)Albert Corson Jr.: b. 04 Feb 1858, Rising Sun, Ohio Co., IN; m. Mary
> Ann Barricklow, 31 Jan 1883; d. 31 Dec 1943, East Enterprise,
> Switzerland Co., IN.
They had three children:Laura Corson, b. 27 Dec 1884, Mabel D. Corson b. 19 July 1888, and Albert Russell Corson, b. 7 January 1900, all in Ohio County, IND.Albert Jr. and Mary Ann lived on Salem Ridge Road near the Nelson Road most of their lives. In 1933 they moved to East Enterprise to a house across from their daughter Laura Fish. When they moved to East Enterprise their son Russell moved into the Salem Ridge house.Mary Ann Barricklow was the daughter of Daniel Barricklow and Mary Ann Wells who lived in a house known as the Peaslee Place which was down a side road off the Salem Ridge road.My grandparents Walter and Mabel Corson Potter inherited that property after Mary Ann Corson died in 1944 (15 January).
> 2)Susan Corson: b. 18 Jan 1860, IN; m. Charles William "Will" Higbee, 02

They had Bessie Higby, Frank Higbee, Mary Higby Nettie Higby and Russell Higby.I have no dates for them.
> 3)Aquilla Corson: b. 20 Sep 1863; m. Emma Higbee (cousin of Will), Sep

I knew Pearl Corson well - a very eccentric woman who lived with her brother in an old brick house down the road from Pleasant Ridge Church past the Hastings.
> 4)Rufus Corson: b. ??; m. Allie (or Ollie) Hunter; d. ??

I have Carsten Jansen's birth as 1634.According to New World Immigrants, v.1, by Michael Tepper, 1979,
Carsten Jansen arrived in New Amsterdam on December 20, 1656 with his
wife (Barbara) on the ship De Bever along with other passengers:Jan Gillesen Kock from Utrecht with his wife and three children, Maritie
Jeuriaens, Lyntie Brouwers.I found this bit in Salt Lake City and it is not included in any of the Corson genealogies.I got this right from the passenger list.Since John Corson was born in 1660, I tend to believe the 1634 date.
There is much discussion as to whether Carsten was Dutch or Scandinavian. The Cape May Corsons considered themselves Scandinavians. It would have been possible that he came from Scandinavia to the Netherlands to take the boat to New Amsterdam. Also, it has been noted that he did not mix much with the Dutch, but tended to associate more with the English.
