In the past 24 hours I have come across a gold mine. The genealogist working for me, had given me some vague information so far which after putting alot together in the past 2 days I was blessed with what I believe is correct info.
John F. Smith, son of John Smith and Mary Murphy, age 35 m. Mary Mainard/Minard age 24, dau. Alupna Mainard/Minard and W. Miner, 7 Feb 1890 in Posey Co
Gabriel C. Lilly age 29 m. Almelia V. Robards 29 Nov 1893
Mollie A. Smith m. Gabriel C. Lilly age 31 Mar 1897
Also this info. Nellie F. Smith age 19, dau. John Smith and Mary May, m. John T. Finan 13 Jan 1902 in Posey Co.
Although according to Nellie's records she was b 1887. I am assuming there could be some transcription errors here. Along with the fact that Nellie's middle initial was A not F. But I have seen this problem before. Nellie was married in 1902 and no one has ever found a marriage record for her. So I believe she married out of state like mom.
There is a divorce record someone in Henderson Co for Gabriel Lilly and Mollie somewhere between 1900 and 1910. Anyways, I was told it was there and that the marriage is recorded in Posey Co., IN.
Still have to order the marriage certifs. Maybe with this extra info someone might have something as whether John F Smith was from Henderson or what. And whether there were any Miner, Mainards, Minards in the area.
