Scotts,Pasquotank Co,NC>Randolph Co,In

Trying to prove or disprove the relationship between Simson Scott & my g-g grandfather Edward Scott.
First we have Simson Scott married to Winifred ?? in Pasquotank Co, NC, they have three children, Edward,Dorcas & Polley. This info is taken from the probate of Simsons will in 1810, he must have died in the late 1700s as Winifred remarried in 1799 to Cornelius Clark.
Edward seems to be the eldest of the children, his guardian John Hamilton ask the court for the cost of taking Edward to Norfolk, VA.to apprentice as a tailor to a Mr. James Mitchell “ journey from Sat.20 Jan. to Tue. Cost of 2 horses and chain in snowstorm, severe weather” Edward was near 18 at the time. My g-g-grandfather was a tailor. Edward married Chloe Long and had three children in NC before moveing to Randolph county,Ind. Where they had nine more including my g-grandfather,Enoch.
Dorcas married Joseph Henley Trueblood and at his death at age 29 she married Thomas Pitts, no word on her family in any of the records. She is buried at Chetopa, Kansas.
Thank you for your time.
