Judy, thank you so much for looking for my William and Martha WHITE. -Yes, I have followed up on Vernilia, I have her death certificate from Clay Co. IN -There was a Joel/ Joseph/ John on the 1860 census, but never found anything on him. -James is the only other son, and this is the ancestor of my husband.I have followed his line through to the deaths of James and his wife, Naomi, buried at Palmers Prairie Cem. Sullivan Co. IN -In 1900 and 1910 census records, James and his family were living in Lawrence co. IL (over the border from IN. James died from Lockjaw from a mule bite in May of 1911, but I have never found his death certificate. -I did call Evansville Hospital for info on Wm and Martha White, but were not listed there to be found, anyway -in 1850, William and Martha White were living in Sand Creek twp. in Bartholmew Co. IN with Martha(1840) James (1841) and Virmilia. -Daughter Mary born about 1860 married Thomas Houck, so Wm and Martha could have been living with this couple sometime between 1880-1900. -I have not located information on children; Martha (1840), or Joel /(?), - -Where would I look for the death info for the William White whose death was in the Famersburg newspaper? The death certificate may have parental info.
thanks again, Judy , for all your work on trying to help me with this family.
