"A. L. BROWN was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, in 1835, and is the son of PETER O. BROWN, now aged seventy-seven years. Our subject began preparing himself for the medical profession, but never practiced. He became a citizen of this county in 1863, and was married at Monticello in 1867, to MISS SARAH M., daughter of JAMES CHILTON, and to this union two children have been born - AGNES M. and LULU M. MR. BROWN is the owner of eighty acres of good land, and at present is operating a general store at Badger, of which place he is the Postmaster."
