Thanks Leah. This is great. I think your conclusions are correct and the record may have two mistakes, her father's last name and when her previous marriage ended. Herman Sanders died in 1899. But such mistakes are common. I saw a death certificate recently that listed the wife's parents rather than the dead husband's.
I suspected her parents were Adam and Mary (nee Arnold) but I wasn't sure as I didn't even have an approximate birth date for her only that Adam had a daughter named Lilly.
Now I now who the Lillie Freppon is in two pictures I have done at a studio in Richmond. The Rose listed with her is undoubtedly her sister Rose. I also have a picture just labeled Herman. I would imagine it was Lillie's husband. Thanks again.
