Thanks for the info.
The marriage info on Peter Maxwell was to a "Sarah Lentes," but the name "Sarah/Sadie Lutz" was given in another document about Lucien B. Maxwell's parents much later in his life. So assumed "Sadie Lutz" was her name at time of marriage to Peter in 1885. However, it might have been her maiden name and Peter was her second husband; or her name after a marriage to a "Lutz" after Peter died in 1898 in Fort Sumner, NM.
My suspicion is that she moved with her only known child, Lucien, back to somewhere in Kansas shortly after Peter's death and before the 1900 Federal Census in NM; and perhaps arriving in time somewhere in Kansas, Colorado or OKlahoma for the 1900 Census, but have not found her or Lucien in any of these states in the 1900 Census. Maybe you will have better luck.
Perhaps there is marriage license or marriage certificate info in Kansas or Oklahoma for Sarah/Sadie Maxwell after 1898 and for Lucien Maxwell to Mamie. If so, perhaps either or both will give more info on Lucien's mother and perhaps her earlier life as well.
Don't know how to check about marriage license and certificates for Lucien's children.
