marilyn thanks i was able to open both forms from ancest. good copies and was thrilled to see the signature of my grandfather and also the signature of john brown . history starts to come alive, after exaustive search i still have not found the state death certificate for landon. have a printout from social security even though the man never payed a dime in social security.he worked for the c & o railroad and was a carpenter and built houses. did not find a social security card for bessie, she was a housewife except for a couple years of being a teacher. right before marriage and right after. she also did not care for disordly kids. i do believe in the mass reems of paperwork i have printed this last year i have printed the 1930 census with them living in west covington, kenton county, ky. but i cannot find it. will search. also will search for the railroad retirement board and what it costs. i believe my mother has the death certificate for my grandparents in her shoebox filing system. hopefully i get to find it.thanks again. getting way late hope to talk to you again.steve brown.
