Looking for any type of info to help me fill in some blanks on our family tree.
I'm able to start off with Edward (Edwin) Vincent Williams who was born 1842 - England. Both his parents were born in England. I do not know if he moved to America with his parents or if he moved to America on his own. I was able to find Edward in the 1880 census under Edwin Williams where he was living at that time in Orange County, Texas.
He married Catherine Schmelze, I believe she was born in 1849 - Pennslyvania. Both her parents were born in Germany.
They had the following children: John b. 1869 - IA William b. 1871 - IA Fred b. 1873 - IA Emma b. 1879 - TX George Edgar b. 1881 - TX
George Edgar Williams is my husband's grandfather. He was born 1881 - Peyton, Texas. I believe he may have been married three times.

Third Wife: Minnie Alice ? b. early 1900's. She was very young when she married George. She died in Baton Rouge, LA about 1963. We believe she had remarried, moved to Norfolk, VA and came back to LA under the name Minnie Bryant. She died in the Williams home on Beech st. Children: Catherine, George, John Vinson Sr. b. 1933 - Rayville, LA (husband's father)and Jesse.
This is about everything I have on this family at this time. I do know that George Edgar Williams owned Land in Ouachita Parish,Rayville, LA and had a blacksmith shop on his land. I did locate his family in the 1910 census NATCHITOCHES, LA but it was with his first wife and their children. William was not in the census because he died in 1907 and David's name is listed as Edwin. I do have access to most of the census records but some are images and there's like a ton of images for just one city and it just takes awhile to flip through them. So far I haven't been able to locate anything else.
