Is this your Edward Boarden?

Edward Boarden, black, 25, works on farm, b LA, parents birthplaces not known
Mandy Boarden, mulatto, 28, wife, b Miss, parents birthplaces not known

Lorby, mulatto, male, 3, son, b Miss
You spoke about Joseph Boarden in 3rd Ward, New Orleans.I found a Joseph Borden in the 1870 census in that place. This is the household:Dwelling 950
Orlando Borden, 42, mulatto, carpenter, b LA, can't read or write
Pody Borden, 35, black, keeping house, b LA, can't read or write
Locksley, 11, mulatto, at school, b LA, attends school
Joseph, 9, mulatto, at school, b LA, attends school
Julia, 1, mulatto , b LA
My guess would be that Orlando and Pody are Joseph's parents.
I believe this same Joseph was also living in NEw ORleans in 1880:
1880 New Orleans, LA, ED 20, Page 22B.
Dwelling 179/Family 251.
Joseph Boardin, black, 21, married, laborer, b New Orleans, parents b New Orlens
Rebecca, black, 19, married, housekeeper, b New Orleans, parents b New Orleans
A quick check of the New Orleans Marriage db revealed the following entry:
Rebecca B. Pierce married Joseph D. Borden in New Orleans.
Marriage Date: 11 Feb 1880Volume: 7 Page: 832
I did a quick search of the LA Death Index, 1900-1949, and didn't see either Joseph or Rebecca Boarden.
I couldn't find a Lynch Bush in either the 1870 or 1880 census everyname index.
I wish I could have found more for you.
