MELVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Arville Holloway, the former Velma Adams,
90, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel here
with burial in the Baptist Cemetery.
The Rev. Ray Majors will conduct the services.
Mrs. Holloway, a resident of Livonia, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, January 5,
1999, in Lakeview Manor Nursing Home in New Roads.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Louise (Sue) George and her husband Earl
George of Livonia; a son-in-law, David Houston of Sunset; two half sisters,
Marain Brooks and Vera Munson, both of Coon; three grandchildren, Randy George
of Baton Rouge, Bryan Keith Houston of Tyler, Texas and Mrs. Henry (Davely
Kaye) Stevens of Shreveport; and four great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Brady
Stevens, Matthew Houston and Jeremy George.
Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her husband, Arville "T-Boy" Holloway;
a daughter, Mrs. Sherry Houston; her parents, Alex and Lillie Nash Adams; a
brother, Robert Adams; and five sisters, Blanche David, Bernice Long, Willie
Mae Munson, Louise Ranson and Ruby Hynote.
Visiting hours will be observed from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m.
Friday until time of services.
Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mr. David Houston, 64, will be help at 11:00 AM Wednesday the in Lafond-Ardoin funeral home chapel on old Sunset highway in Opelousas.
Mr. Houston, a resident of Sunset, died Monday, March 27/ 2000, at Doctors Hospital of Opelousas.He retired from A and R pipeline.
Survivors include a son, Brian and wife for Laura Houston of Tyler, Texas; a daughter, Kaye and her husband Henry Stevens Shreveport;a brother, John Houston of Frankston, Texas; a sister, Peggy Sue Dickerson one Highlands, Texas; and three grandchildren.
