Robert A. Patterson, born November 27, 1860, died March 15, 1931, buried at Loch Arbor Cemetery near Swartz, LA.This cemetery is not far from Spring Hill Cemetery.I have relatives buried at both cemeteries.Other Patterson's buried at Loch Arbor are Fred Patterson and his wife Elsie.I grew up in Swartz and Fred was Post Master there and Elsie was the second grade teacher at Swartz.I did not have her as a teacher as she had taken a sabbatical that year; however, my sister had her.Mrs. Patterson had a reputation of being very strict, but I always remember her as having a smile on her face.
Since my father and both sets of grandparents, as well as two of my great grandparents and two of my gg grandparents are buried at Loch Arbor, I usually try and visit the cemetery whenever I go back to visit my mother and other family members living in the Monroe area.I plan to visit again in October. If I get out to the cemetery, I can take a picture of Robert Patterson's gravemarker and e-mail it to you.

P.S. Swartz was named for a man by the name of Edward G. Swartz, who owned a large sawmill at Swartz. This mill shut down about 1907.My great grandfather, John William McRae Cagle was a machinist for the sawmill, but after the mill shut down, my great grandfather built a small sawmill at Swartz. From your post, it sounds like Robert Patterson probably worked at another lumber company, perhaps in Monroe and not Swartz.
