Who are the parents of the following Richard Dean? 1870 Ward 1, P.O. Farmersville, Union Parish, LA Richard Dean, age 56, b. Ga. Martha J. Dean, age 28, b AL Mary Jane Dean, age 15, b. LA. Thomas J. Dean, age 7, b. LA. James R. Dean, age 4, b. LA. Henry H. Dean, age 2, b. LA. Franklin Dean, age 5/12, b. LA.
The above Richard was previously married and it appears his wife was deceased prior to the 1850 census when Richard was listed in the same parish in LA in the household of F.M. Armstrong who was also born in GA, but had moved from GA to AL to LA where he was found in the 1850 census of LA.
The child Mary Jane Dean (listed above) was born of Richard Dean's first wife, but Mary Jane was not located with him in the 1850 census and has not been located elsewhere at that time.
It is unknown if F.M. Armstrong knew Richard Dean when both lived in Georgia. Too, no record has been found that Richard ever lived in Alabama prior to moving to Louisiana, but that does not mean Richard was never in Alabama.
There were many persons named Richard Dean, but nothing more has been located on this particular Richard.
