Hi Cheryl, I looked at the IFHF site -- I didn't get any hits for an Edward ORR with father Patrick. (Even if you get a hit, you have to pay 5 euros to view it.) However, Donegal is one of the counties that they don't yet have online...
They actually list (2) Patrick ORR's in the Griffiths Valuations for Donegal, both in Clonca Parish:
Orr , Patrick , Carrowmore
Orr , Patrick , Town of Malin/Upper Road
Perhaps someone on the list is familiar with some of the local parishes in those locations? I actually had fantastic personal assistance from a parish secretary not too far from Malin.... Maybe someone could advise you further?
I hope this is helpful to you! Best, Kim

Name: Jean Orr Turner Date: 2009-10-13 SURNAMES ORR, KERRIGAN, CORRIGAN YOUR WEBSITE don't have one yet! Comments: Carol: Very intersting and informative website!! Thanks for all of your hard work.
Now, if I could just get lucky and find some information on my GGGGrandparents Patrick Orr and Sara Kerrigan (Corrigan) Orr who were born in the late 1700s and lived in Co. Donegal. Patrick was a farmer and we believe they lived in Moneydarrah, Culdaff, Inishowen, Co. Donegal. They had at least 3 childred: Edward Orr (born about 1823) who left Ireland in the 1850s and settled in New Orleans, Louisiana; married Johanna (Jane) Murphy in New Orleans in 1959; he died on 23 December 1882 in New Orleans, Louisiana. William Orr (born 1 Aug. 1830) who left Ireland and went to the U. S. to study for the priesthood. He was ordained in 1864 and was pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts from 1875 until his death on 30 December 1906; Rose Orr, left Ireland in 1862, joined her brother William and was his housekeeper until her death on 11 March 1906.
If anyone has any information on Patrick Orr, Sara Kerrigan Orr, Edward Orr, William Orr, or Rose Orr, please contact me. Thanks.
