Barnstable people in 1715 Delaware deed
In Kent Co Delaware in Nov 1715 Thomas and Sarah Parke of Kent Co sold a piece of land to Nathaniel Hall, mariner.Nathaniel was from Barnstable Co Ma, the son of Deacon John Hall and his wife Priscilla. The interesting thing is that this deed was witnessed by Zachariah Paddock and Tristram Hedges, two Barnstable County men who are not known to have settled in Delaware.Perhaps they were only there exploring, visiting, etc.Tristrum Hedges' wife, a Nickerson, had at least a half dozen nieces and nephews who had settled there.I am not sure which Zacahariah Paddock this is,but perhaps the one married to Bethiah Hall, sister of Nathaniel, though she was deceased by this date.Perhaps the way the witnesses signed may verify the above persons.
"Zac:Paddock" is the way the first witness signed.
"H" was the mark used by Tristram Hedges.Tristram Hedges, married to Anne Nickerson, was an aged man by this date, but there seems to be no evidence for a younger Tristram?Little is known of Tristram's children.
Any further information on the above persons will be very much appreciated.
