…to date, the *only* reference that has been found for Ari FITCH is the following…
1800 United States Federal Census 1800 United States Federal Census Name: Ari FITCH Home in 1800 (City, County, State): Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts Free White Persons - Males - Under 10: 1 Free White Persons - Males - 26 thru 44: 1 Free White Persons - Females - 16 thru 25: 1 Number of Household Members Under 16: 1 Number of Household Members Over 25: 1 Number of Household Members: 3
Source Citation: Year: 1800; Census Place: Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts; Roll: 13; Page: 231; Image: 231; Family History Library Film: 205611.
From the digital image of this census entry, his name is quite clearly spelled as “Ari” but perhaps “Ari” is a nickname for an otherwise unknown given name.
Can anyone provide more information Ari FITCH and his origins?
Thanks for your help!
