Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, Rick.I appreciate it.
I called Emmanuel College and learned that the older yearbooks are being archived. I am not sure if the 1926-1932 are ones that they have copies of. I was given the name of the person who is in charge of the archiving.I called her and left a voice mail that I would send an email since I live out of state that would require a long distance call back.
I have considered subscribing to one of the archived newspaper subscriptions.I think the Boston Globe has a number of different subscription for different amounts of time and money. It appears, from what you have said, that a 1929 obituary would not be included in the Boston Globe archives. It might be in the ProQuest Historical Newspapers.I will check into a subscription for that site.
When I looked at an index that was a link from Ancestry, I noticed that not all the articles listed from the search had names connected to the articles. There was one listed but other than the presence of the article, there was little other information to indicate if it might be about the person I was searching for.
Thank you again for taking the time to respond.Living a considerable distance away from where my ancestors and their families grew up makes finding their records a challenge.
