Nazaire A. Deslaurier
Nazaire A. Deslaurier, 68, of 7 Congress Street, died early this morning at his home after a long illness. He was a native of Three Rivers, P.Q. Canada, and had been a resident of this city 65 years.
Mr Deslaurier was a retired foreman of the circular saw department of the Simmonds Saw and Steel Co. where he had been employed for 50 years. He enlisted with the Spanish war May 6, 1898 with the wagoners of Co. D., 6th Massachusetts regiment and was discharged Jan 21, 1899.
He wasa member of the Simonds Veterans' Assn, Simonds Recreational Club,Guanica Camp, USWV, Rollstone Lodge, AOUW. He is survived by his wife, Victoria (Laventure) Deslaurier, five daughters, Mrs. Warren Brainard,of Gardner, Mrs. Ralph C. Farr, of Lunenburg, and Mrs. Arthur Dubois, Mrs. Harold Carrier, and Mrs. Louis Testa all of this city; a son Eugene Deslaurier of this city; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Fred Robert of Gardner and a brother Joseph Deslaurier, of warren, R.I.
The funeral will be from the Lavery Funeral Home Wednesday morning with a solemn high mass of requiem at 9 o'clock in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours atthe funeral home will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 o'clock.
Doris Deslauriers married Harold K. Carrier and died in 1995 according toHarold's obit who died Jan 4 2001 in St. Paul Minnesota but was a resident of Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
Don't know when Victoria died.
