Is this possibly the right Ricardo?
Cabrera, Ricardo Saginaw, Michigan Formerly of Fort Worth, Texas Beloved father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at his home. Age 56 years. Ricardo was born on May 11, 1952 in Uvalde, Texas to the late Pedro and Elbira (Felan) Cabrera. Richard had been employed by General Motors from 1976 to 1980. He then was employed by the Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan. After 28 years of service Richard retired from Dow in 2000, due to pyolicsysic kidney disease he had been receiving dialysis since 2000. Richard loved to socialize with his family and friends, he was one of a kind, and he always went out of his way to help others. He was well loved by all those who knew him; he enjoyed a good laugh and knew how to put a smile on someone's face. He was the best father and grandfather that anyone could wish for. Richard was kind to everyone and he enjoyed hanging out with the guys or just fishing with his grandson Isaac. He loved the movies and popcorn. He liked to attend church and often went to Holy Family Catholic Church. Growing up in Texas, Ricardo attended the Goodwill Baptist Church. His family will always remember and cherish the wonderful times they spent together. Ricardo is survived by his four children: Ricardo Cabrera, Jr. and David Cabrera both of Las Vegas, NV, Felyna Cabrera and Sonny Perez, both of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren: Daniella and Elbira Cabrera, Lorenzo Cabrera, Alexis Cabrera, Isaac, Faith and Violet Cabrera and Fabian Facundo, Sonny, Emilo, Isiah, Angelo, Domingo and Xavier Perez. Also surviving are Ricardo's siblings Pedro (Josephine) Cabrera, Jr., Virginia Cabrera, Mosies Cabrera, Yolanda Mickeal, Zack Najera, Peter Cabrera, III, David Cabrera, Daniel Cabrera and Yolanda Wanat; and his former wife, Victoria Reyes. Ricardo had many close family members including: David Rios, Esperanza Gonzales, Elizabeth Perez, Elbira Cabrera, Arturo Rodriguez, Jr., Rudy Rodriguez, Sr., Anisela Reyes, Belinda Neitzelt, Rudy Rodriguez, Jr., Christopher Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez, III and Zackary Rodriguez. His Compadres included Arturo Sanchez, Jimmy and Mary Mejia, Ray and Jackie Hererra. His brothers; John Cabrera, who he loved and missed, Arturo Cabrera, Elias Cabrera, Armando Cabrera, Ruben Najera and an infant brother Ricardo Cabrera preceded Ricardo in death. FUNERAL: Ricardo's Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Ricardo will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. un til the time of service.
