MRS. MARK PLEW DEAD; WAS RESPECTED BY ALL
Mrs. Alice PLEW, wife of Mark PLEW, died Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at her home in the Dean district, following an illnes of about three weeks.
Mrs. Plew was taken ill on November 4th and her condition continued serious thereafter.On Sunday she suffered a stroke of paralysis due to the complicated nature of her illness, and from that time Dr. CAMERON, who was called from Alpena, held out but little hope for her recovery.
Alice DEAN was born on December 16, 1879, on the farm where she died.Her father was Thomas DEAN, one of the early settlers in that section, and for whom the district was named.Alice was married on April 10, 1907, to Mark PLEW and her home has always been on the old homestead.Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Dean, aged five years.
Mrs. Plew's death casts a gloom over the whole community, where she was universally respected for her many excellent qualities.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the home, Rev. E. L. Little of Alpena being incharge.Burial will take place at the Springport cemetery.
