Liber 2, page 261, line 3, April 4, 1898: Allegan Death Record:
Ephrian Brownell, Male, White,Married, age 81yrs, 0 mo, 0 days, Residence Allegan Twp, Cause of Death "Chronic", Born New York, occupation Farmer, Father: Ephriam Brownell, residence Allegan, Mother: Lydia _____ (no last name), residence Allegan.
Note:they have Ephrian spelled with an "n" and that the information on age, date of birth, father and mother are supplied by some family member or friend and are not always accurate.
From the 1850 census:
Brownell, Ephraim 67 (56) Sarah,65; Caroline,22
Brownell, Ephraim Jr. 30 (56) Lydia,24; Lelia,1mos.
Brownell, John 35 (57) Lovina,27; Charles,9
Brownell, Richard 37 (56) Lucinda,33; Peter,8; Sarah,7
From the census data the death record should be of Ephriam Jr. but his mother would be Sarah not Lydia, probably just a transcription error in the record.(my gr-grandMOTHER is a man named Herman in their records!)
from the 1860 census:
BROWNELL EPHRAIM JR. Allegan Township
BROWNELL JOHN W. Allegan Township
(Sr. is probably dead by now or moved on)

There are no death records for any of the other members of the family you mention in the original e-mail with this exception:
Liber 3, page 64, line 631.April 29, 1904:
"Jno, William, Brownell" died age 92 yrs, 2 mo, 9 days., born New York, farmer,Father: E. Brownell, Mother: Unknown.
The age would suggest they were brothers and it is probably the death record for John W. Brownell seen in the census records.
