I was surprized and pleased to see your message posted at Genealogy.com.Your father, Percy, is my Great Uncle, as I am the daughter of Herb Young. You are obviously looking for family info on your mothers side.I'm sorry I can not help you with that.I am also looking for info, but on the Ross side.I have information on my great-grandfather, Herbert Ross, but I'm not able as yet to name his parents.I thought you might know.My dad remembers lots of talk about the Ross family when he was a boy, but suddenly it stopped, he guesses, when many of them passed away.He doesn't remember much any more.Shirlee and I were out visiting cemeteries during the Christmas holidays.I was pleased to find my great-grandmother Ross' grave in Grand Rapids. We also found William (great uncle) and his child Frankie, who died as a child.I have photos of the Ross Pavillion, and some other family photos of my grandmother Miriam and Percy, and their father George Herbert. I am happy to share if you lack photos. My dad is well and living in Ocala,Florida with his 3rd wife Vi.I live on a beautiful lake in Wisconsin, Green Lake near Ripon, with my husband Mike and daughter, Lauren. She is 15 and looks alot like my dad.Over Christmas we visited with my Great Uncle Clare (Jay's brother). He is going to be 90 on our shared birthday, April 19.We also said good-bye to the house on Gun Lake that G-Grandma Young-Kaiser owned for a few years. That beautiful home is now gone. Well, if you have any info you can share on the next generations back, I'd appreciate it.Henry Jeremina Ross, Elizabeth Dozema, Bertha Voorhees and her parents (Charley and ? Voorhees), all the information we have is sketchy. If you have heard any stories for possible leads, I'd appreciate the information. G. Miriam always talked about a grandfather, Captain Ross that went down with a ship.Did you ever hear anything about that?I wish I could meet all these folks.
