In follow-up to this old posting, yes, indeed, James A. Williams (b. Oct. 1, 1840 Canandaigua, Ontario Co., NY; d. July 8, 1910 Middleville, Barry Co., MI) md. 1876 to Emma Jean Ingraham (b. Feb. 23, 1859 Richmond Twp., Macomb Co., MI; d. Jan. 28, 1933 Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI).They were my great-great grandparents; a biographical sketch of James A. "Fiddler Jim" Williams can be found in the Barry County Families & History Book 2008.Emma was James second wife (he and his first wife Lucinda Searles were divorced with one child who reached adulthood, Almont Lapier Williams). James and Emma had only one son who survived to adulthood, Leon A. Williams, I (b. Dec. 24, 1885 Hickory Corners, Barry Co., MI; d. Jan. 19, 1940 Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI) md. May 1906 to Grietje "Margaret" Burg (b. Aug. 2, 1882 Niehove, Groningen, Netherlands; d. Aug. 9, 1937 Middleville, Barry Co., MI). They had eight children before getting a divorce.
