You have to be careful. There were several Auguste Sebilles. If you get one generation mixed, you follow a different line. I am still working on it. There was a Sebille in Cairo, ILL, who was a brother to my Charles John Sebille, son of August and Anna Baumann Sebille. He ran the bar in a Hotel there, later becoming the owner, etc. I have had to dig and scratch, order records, etc., to find what I have. Our Louis went to Michigan with his sister's, Celestine and Seraphina. Their mother, Marie Josephine went with them. Louis married and had children, as did the girls. I have tried to follow them down the line. There are also several Louis' to look into. I hae had a hard time trying too find anything about Louis, the Medal of Honor recipient.---Mary( My mother was a Sebille). I have corresponded with a Sebille in CT., but we could not find where Alexandre was married to Maaereth Beauleue, and that spelling could be a little different. They were from Bizon, France, the Deau-Veux area. I just found that much on a footnote certificate. I do not know much about the ones who went to Michigan. I do knowone of them living there went to visit my grandfather at one time. It has been a hard family to research, as some did not communicate with each other back them. Also, in the Civil War records, I found them under SEIBEL. I hope this will help you.that went to Michigan. My mother and my sister went to Cincinnati about 16 years ago. They visited all the places Anna and August lived. On ancestry under my sister's family tree, there is a picture of Anna and August. I would love to know how the Connecticut group connects to us.
