Stanley E. Beaugrand
Vicksburg native Stanley E. Beaugrand, 71, died in Florida on Nov. 20.
Beaugrand was born in Vicksburg, attended Kalamazoo Central High School, and served with the National Guard Co. C., 1st Battalion.
He served in the Army during World War II. After he was wounded in 1944, he was decorated with the Silver Star and Purple Heart medals.
After the war, he married Lois Cook and moved to Hollywood, Fla., where he was a carpenter for more than 25 years. He was a resident of Ft. Lauderdale at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Katy Beaugrand Cook of Kalamazoo and Julia Dawn LaBonte of Ft. Lauderdale, and 4 grandchildren.
Military graveside services are planned for May 1994 at Lawrence Hill cemetery in Lawrence.
