DR. EGGLESTONE AND HORACE LAMB, TWO OF IMLAY CITY'S PROMINENT MEN WERE TAKEN - Dr. John P EGGLESTONE, a prominent physician of Imlay City for the past thirty-five years, died at 8:16 o'clock last Friday night of heart trouble, after an illness of but two days anged 63 years.He was stricken down Tuesday evening with fainting spells and convulsions which led to the report being circulated that he was stricken with apoplexy, but the physicians attending him quickly diagnosed his case as aheart trouble.The doctor had made a long drive Tuesday to attend some patients, and after his return he complained to some one in his office that he was not feeling well, and shortly after he was taken to his home when his condition became alarming.Drs. Jones, McCausland and Martin of this place, Dr Maurice Jones of Youngstown, Ohio, Dr Kay of Lapeer and Dr Randall of Flint were in consultations, some of them being constantly at his bedside.The physicians give as the cause of death valvular disease of the feart followed by edema of the lungs. Dr Egglestone was a whole-souled, genial, sympathetic and jovial nature.
