Adrian Daily Telegram, Saturday, January 26, 2008, pg A2 Leon W. Polter Obit DUNDEE — Leon W. Polter, age 87, of Dundee died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Milan Township, the son of William and Dorothy (Kern) Polter. He married Caroline Schweiger on May 3, 1941, at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. He farmed all of his life and also worked for 10 years at Tecumseh Products. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Gale (Susan) of Dundee and Darrell (Linda) of Blissfield; grandsons, Rodney (Kay) and Ryan (Carole); five great-grandchildren, Justin, Alayna, Trevor, Michael and Matthew. He was preceded by a sister, Corrine Jaworski. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cover Funeral Home in Dundee. He will lie in state Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to St. John Lutheran Church. I do not research this family.
