Hi, I live in Tecumseh, and my daily walk takes me through the Brookside cemetery. The Ebenezer Thorp memorial is located in the "old" part of the cemetery in front of the memorial to the early settlers whose graves were moved to the cemetery in the 1850's. Possibly he, having died in 1834 was one of those whose remains were moved. As the memorial does not mention which side he fought on in the Revolution, perhaps he is the Ebenezer Thorpe who served in the Southern Campaign with Captain Charles McDonnells Company, Volunteers of Ireland,(Loyalist.)Just a thought.
