I'm afraid I don't have much to offer except a few tidbits on Livermore (my mother's maiden name).
My Great Grandfather, Albert Livermore, moved to Evart, MI from Mt. Clemens, MI somewhere around 1900.I don't know much about hisfamily (we think they came from New York). My Grandfather still lives in Evart (he's now 91)
There was a Livermore family that settled in what is now Unadilla Twp in the 1800's.There are still two of their original homes still standing. The oldest house is on Livermore Road. The other house is on the north side of M-36 just east of Livermore Road.
There is the Livermore Cemetery on M-36 near the intersection with Graves Road (aptly named, huh?).The cemetery is hidden behind a blue trailer house on the North side of the road.
I once perused a book on the history of Livingston county - it was published in the late 1800's.It mentioned the Livermore's.If my memory is correct, I think it said that they moved here from either Macomb County or Mt. Clemens or somewhere "over there".
I can't claim that any of this information is 100% accurate (except in the case of my grandfathers).I appologize for the vagueness.I haven't yet had the time to do any of the real "hard work" that's needed to get the whole story.
