No, I was referring to Charles STARK because our Stark/Starks were in N Collins, Erie Co.,NY.Augusta Woodward Ford's gm was Rebecca STARKd/o Nathan & Frances--but we cannot find the link back before ~1820 possibly in VT.We are stuck with many of these lines right there in Erie County starting at 1816.We are hoping we can find another parallel line that would lead us back a few more years. But, today I found a Phineas SWIFT m Ann Starks of Sodas, Wayne Co.,NY and they moved to IONIA Co.MI.....a place mentioned in the Woodward/Sears literature.Apparently, a lot of people from Sodas, NY went to MI.Also another Stark of our line: Jedidiah Starks married a Mary Young b in Sodas,NY.
So I was just wondering WHO this Charles Stark was (Parents SIDNEY & ELSIE BEALE)--and if he was directly related to my line----The (Old) Nathan & Frances buried in Marshfield Burial Ground in N Collins, Erie Co.,NY. I am missing a HIRAM STARKS b ~1835 in N Collins, NY.
No I have not looked in 1910 and 1920 for this particular family--Neal & Augusta Woodward Ford.I don't think they had any children...and I am working from the point of identifying the people in these old letters and pulling together as much as I can for the owners. They have nothing..and will be pleased at what we have. They had no idea where Thorp was, nor that Augusta Died (probably in 1889..since in her letter of 1888 she said her legs & feet were so swollen she could hardly walk. They were too heavy to lift! They do not know this about the m(2) of Neal Ford ***NEAL FORD & AUGUSTA C. WOODWARD were married 1873 and buried in Breckenridge, Gratiot Co.,MI from their notes.
The rest of the Woodwards lived in Bridgewater, Washtenaw Co.,MI and then moved to Bridgeport, Gratiot County.I believe they have a good understanding of these people.I am going down the list of people in the letters (mostly written by Augusta of MI and 2 other family members of NY) and researching each name. This is an indirect line for me, but I have done enough research in Erie Co.,NY and related to many people there--- so many of those mentioned in the letters are from my line.Like they did not know my ggf JASON ANNIS was a name in the Letter-very exciting!
So with this material on Neal. Augusta/Marguerite...........I can write up this "chapter"But the letters mention this Janie and her new husband Marion...?... and neal had dinner with her when he went to the Rollaway
Also the letters mention Caroline and Chester and it sounds like they live in Erie County in 1860-1888 time--but again I am seraching line by line looking for a last name. She would be a sister of Augusta.
It is a really challenge--and gives me a lot of pleasure doing this for these people. What goos are letters when you haev no idea who all these people are?
YOU ARE A GREAT HELP--and again I appreciate your work JAN
