In researching my Young kinfolk who lived in Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan, I came across an obituary notice that has me stumped. Can anyone help me identify the people mentioned in this notice?
From the Petersburg Sun dated April 29, 1910. "Obituary--Mrs. H. N. Young. Lorinda Parlee Green, or Mrs. H. N. Young, was born in Kansas July 12, 1855, and died at Petersburg, Mich., April 25, 1910, aged 54 years, nine months and twelve days. She was reared in Vermillion county, Ill.; was married to John Thompson and resided in Covington, O. Her second marriage was to H. N. Young June 4, 1893, since which time she has lived in Toledo and Petersburg, residing in the latter place about 13 years. She leaves to mourn besides her husband, H. N. Young, one son, Alfred Thompson, of Cincinnati, O. Her last illness lasted about nine weeks. Death found her ready, regretting only that she must leave her friends, but cheered by the hope of soon meeting them again. She was a woman of fine Christian spirit and practice. Her many friends bear testimony to her many virtues. She was a member of the W.R.C. of Petersburg, and her sisters of that order will greatly miss her. Besides these a great circle of friends extend sympathy to the bereaved ones. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Earl R. Rice officiated, and the W. R. C. was in charge. Interment was in the Petersburg cemetery."
