Hi everyone. Perhaps you've notice that on this Calhoun, County, Michigan site message board that there are been far and fewer between entries ever since genforum has been requiring registration, log in, and passwords in order to post a followup message. These extra steps have apparently discouraged people from taking the trouble having to log on at various steps in order to post a message. It's been a few weeks at least since anyone posted something on this Calhoun County site. Is the reason I just mentioned the reason why? I think that people would be more inclined to start posting messages here concerning Calhoun County, Michigan if they didn't have to go through all those steps just to post a message reply. Especially first time people who think they will be bombarded by offers and junk mail on their e-mail if they register, or it will possibly cost them, etc. I enjoy reading the messages here and try to help respond if it deals with the Albion area in eastern Calhoun County, Michigan which is my specialty. But I suspect that the new registration rules have scared off submitters to this site, which is too bad. I wonder if genforum has noticed this on other message boards. Perhaps they might consider their posting requirements to what they were earlier last year before they made this change that has greatly reduced the entries on this message board. I miss the interesting variety of inquiries here. If you have an inquiry about eastern Calhoun County (Albion area), you can also leave a message (no password required) on the www.albionmich.com web site. Best wishes, Frank Passic, Albion Historian.
